Techzy is a software development company creating mobile applications, web platforms, custom software systems, AI solutions, and business process automation for clients in Georgia and international markets.
We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. We work on technically challenging software products involving backend services, distributed systems, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure. You'll join a collaborative engineering environment where developers have meaningful technical ownership and the opportunity to influence how software is designed, built, and maintained. Our environment is dynamic, and priorities evolve as business and product needs change. We value adaptability and independent thinking
რას გააკეთებთ
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations.
- Build reliable systems that handle concurrency, retries, partial failures, and unexpected behavior.
- Work with databases, data modeling, transactions, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing.
- Develop and maintain background jobs, messaging workflows, and integrations with external services.
- Write meaningful automated tests, including integration tests for critical functionality.
- Review code and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement lasting improvements.
- Proactively improve application security, performance, observability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and other team members.
- Contribute across projects as priorities and business needs evolve.
ვის ვეძებთ
- Technical Experience
- 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
- Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design, and distributed systems.
- Experience with databases, data modeling, transactions, concurrency, and consistency.
- Understanding of event-driven systems, messaging, and asynchronous processing.
- Ability to design reliable integrations with external services.
- Understanding of application security and secure API design.
- Experience writing automated tests and maintaining production applications.
- Ability to investigate complex technical problems independently.
- Engineering Mindset
- Ownership and initiative
- You take responsibility for what you build, from understanding requirements to production behavior. You identify risks, suggest improvements, and raise concerns proactively.
- Engineering judgment
- You evaluate technical trade-offs and choose solutions appropriate to the problem. You understand when additional architectural complexity is justified and when a simpler approach is better.
- Reliability and security
- You think beyond successful requests, considering failure scenarios, data integrity, security boundaries, monitoring, and recovery as part of engineering.
- Product understanding and collaboration
- You look beyond technical requirements to understand the product, its users, and business goals. You actively collaborate with product owners and other stakeholders, contribute to product discussions, challenge assumptions constructively, and help shape solutions—not just implement predefined specifications.
- Adaptability and collaboration
- You are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change, requirements evolve, and collaboration across projects is sometimes necessary.
- AI-assisted engineering
- We actively use and experiment with AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and software quality.
- We encourage engineers to explore new approaches to implementation, testing, code review, and automation.
- We believe AI should help engineers produce better software, not simply generate code faster. Developers remain responsible for understanding their solutions, validating technical decisions, and ensuring correctness, security, and maintainability.
- Nice to Have
- Knowledge of idempotency, reconciliation, distributed transactions, and failure recovery.
- Experience with event sourcing, CQRS, or event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar messaging systems.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerized applications.
- Understanding of observability, structured logging, tracing, and alerting.
- Experience improving engineering workflows through AI tools and automation.
რას გთავაზობთ
- Meaningful technical ownership
- The opportunity to influence architectural decisions, propose improvements, and take responsibility for important technical components.
- Interesting engineering challenges
- Work on systems involving complex integrations, distributed architectures, and asynchronous processing, with opportunities to take ownership of entire projects—from initial planning and architecture to development and production delivery.
- Modern development workflows
- An environment that encourages experimentation with AI-assisted engineering, automated testing, and tools that improve software quality.
- Direct influence
- As part of a small engineering team, your ideas and technical decisions can directly influence the products we build and our engineering practices.
- A collaborative, evolving environment
- A team that values knowledge sharing, technical initiative, and continuous improvement.
